Prooptiki SA participated in the Greece Race for the Cure

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Prooptiki participated in the annual symbolic event with a social purpose in Greece, Greece Race for the Cure. Starting from Zappeion, team participants competed in the 2 km walk, contributing to the valuable work of the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois”, keeping their commitment to a positive impact on society.

The Greek Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” is a Non-Profit Association, founded in 1988 by women, who had personally experienced breast cancer, with the goal of a world without breast cancer deaths.

All its members, the volunteers, as well as the members of the Board of Directors are women with breast cancer experience.

In its years of operation, the Association now has more than 2,500 members, while it has a large body of trained volunteers, helping hundreds of women from all over Greece.

Prooptiki strives to actively and practically support initiatives focused on volunteerism and social contribution, harmonizing at the same time with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations. The company’s participation in the symbolic race and walk Greece Race for the Cure®, the 2nd largest Race for the Cure® event in Europe, contributes to raising revenue for the provision of free programs of quality care and care for breast cancer patients, as well as to information and awareness of the importance of prevention and the value of early diagnosis of the disease.
